  • What is the max. Payload of the gimbal?
    Max. Payload is 4.2kg

  • What is the operation temperature of the gimbal system?
    We have successfully tested under -15°C up to 50°C

  • Is the Adapter plate compatible with any quick release system?
    The MAVERICK adapter plate is compatible with Manfrotto 501PL type. You can simply dismount the camera setup from the MAVERICK and mount it onto the compatible tripod or fluid head system. The new memory lock system on the MAVERICK makes it easy for you to rebalance the camera on the gimbal.

  • How can I upgarde the Firmware?
    Firmware can be upgraded via connected USB cable to the SimpleBGC Software. Establish the connection, go to the tab "Firmware upgrade" check the box "Check for Beta versions too" and press "Check". Compare the Firmware version with the version which we officially released for our gimbal on our website at Support - Software/Driver Downloads.

  • How long does the battery last?
    The operation time is approx. 12h (whitout charging the camera)

  • I recognize a slight horizontal drift. What can I do?
    The MAVERICK comes with an integrated Anti-Drift Circuit pre-calibrated for a specific temperature range which prevents loosing the horizon. In some cases it still might happen since the sensors are temperature dependant. In this case, put the gimbal on a tripod and power it on. Enter the Setup Menu on the Handle and perform a "Gyro Calib". Prevent any vibrations or disturbance during the calibration process. The motors will power on automatically once the calibration is finished and the gimbal should be levelled again.

  • Is there an App for iOS or Android available?
    In near future we will have our own developed App which will be more simple!

  • Which accessory is compatible with the MAVERICK?
    We are always eager to develop more accessories for the MAVERICK to provide you the utmost flexibility you need for your shooting. Please take a look to the sub menu on our website MAVERICK - Accessories.

  • Can I change the speed of the Joystick or of the Follow mode?
    Yes you can do this directly on the gimbal in the Setup Menu or through the SimpleBGC Software in the tab RC-Control for the Joystick and in the tab Follow Mode for your Pan/Tilt follow movements.

  • 360 degree Dutch Angel Mode. How can I use it with my MAVERICK?
    We have recently announced this cool new feature, which we can upload for you via TeamViewer. All MAVERICK gimbals have this new feature already integrated by default.

  • How can I switch off the beep tone?
    You can turn it off directly on the Handle in the Setup Menu or via the SimpleBGC Software in the tab "Service".

  • Is the Joystick multidirectional?
    Yes it is, you can move it in all directions for Pan & Tilt. With the push button of the joystick you can activate additional features like Timelapse. The Joystick button can be individually setup via the SimpleBGC Software in the Tab "Service"

  • How can I change the Speed in the Dutch Roll Mode (Inseption Mode) ?
    You can change the speed individually for every mode. First select the Mode which you want to make changes. In this case select DR Mode by clicking the Mode button 6-times. Enter the Setup Menu and go to Joysitck, select "R-spd" and change the value. As higher the value as faster the speed. Confirm your change with the OK-Button. Exit the Setup Menu and hold the gimbal in Flashlight position. Now you can test your speed by using the Joystick (left/right).
  • How can I check the Firmware version of my MAVERICK 1-Hand Handle and how can I update the Firmware to get new features?
    Enter the Setup Menu of the Handle go to the Menu ABOUT. There you can see the actual used firmware fo your gimbal and handle. To upgarde the firmware download the UPGRADE TOOL on the product page or from our Support site and follow the instruction in the user manual.

  • My Sony A7 cannot be controlled through the gimbal. What can I do?
    First select in the Gimbal Setup Menu Camera to SONY and confirm with OK. Then connect the equipped camera contorl cable to gimbal and to the multiport of your Sony camera. Now power on the camera. After that you should be able to use the Video REC function as well as the Shutter Trigger button and Digital Zoom function on your Maverick Handle.
